Mmmm…Hot Roast Beef and Provolone Sandwich for lunch

I love weekend lunches.  I rediscovered my passionate love for provolone cheese this week, and joy of joys discovered that Arnold’s makes a 100 calorie sandwich roll. (I can never eat sandwiches due to the huge calorie count of the bread and all the stuff I like to put on them.)  I am officially back in the sandwich game!

This little bundle of joy here is a hot roast beef sandwich with 3 slices of provolone cheese (we just won’t think about the slice I ate while it was baking), thin sliced Roma tomatoes, broccoli sprouts (once you commit to buying a package you have to put them on everything before they go bad), some dark leaf lettuce (can’t remember anymore what I bought), and a small amount of Russian dressing.

AND french fries!   All together now, let’s have a little shudder of happiness – take that diet, and stick it where the sun don’t shine!

On a completely random note, I was watching a PBS film on the early Warner Bros movies while lunch was cooking and found out that they didn’t invent squibs before the mob movies were all the rage in the 30’s.  They just hired sharp shooters to fire Tommy guns near the actors with LIVE ammo.  Um, no thanks.  They were getting paid, what 2-3 dollars a day?  Hollywood has it so cushy now.
